have not visited italia for 2 yrs. last visit there weren't any restrictions on smoking in public places such as in USA. what is current smoking in public rules? |

As far as I know, Italian legislation has prohibited smoking in public buildings since 2005, including bars and restaurants. However, designated enclosed and separately ventilated rooms are permited. __________________ Richard J. Michelli

Reply with quote | #3 | Ciao, rexgolf! 'Tis true, no more smoking indoors. Especially in bars and clubs, the absence of the smokey atmosphere seems kind of odd, but I guess it's for the better. At the outdoor cafes and piazzas, it's the same as it always was: people enjoying a smoke as they watch the world go by. |
